School Visits

“Allison Varnes is an excellent storyteller. She knows how to engage an audience when talking about her book and describing her writing process. She connects well with readers of all ages, both during her presentation for a crowd and during the book signing one-on-one.”
— Erin Nguyen, Children's Services Manager, Knox County Public Library

A full-day visit includes:

  • A combination of three 45-minute presentations or small group creative writing workshops.

  • Book signing. Books can be sold through your local bookstore (many offer discounts to schools) or through Random House.

  • Lunch with the author.

Please note: You may take as many photographs as you’d like during the visit, but please do not create any audio or video recordings of presentations, workshops, or Skypes. Thank you!

SKYPE VISITS

Allison was amazing! Setting up the Skype meeting with her was a breeze, and the kids were so excited to “meet” her. They had a fantastic time asking their questions and Allison did a great job answering all of them, even when they veered off topic, as kids do.
— Ashley Rossetto, Youth Services Librarian, Commerce Township Community Library, Pizza and Pages Book Club, ages 9-12

I offer FREE 15-minute Q&A Skype sessions for single classes or book clubs that have read my book. This works best if students create questions ahead of our chat! These sessions are limited in availability. Please contact me to schedule a time.
